Hi friends, I'm Brandie! I spend most of my days running around barefoot and jammin' to Miranda Lambert & Josh Abbott Band. I choose flowy dresses and cozy cardigans every chance I get, sip on hot coffee at any point throughout the day, and believe laughter is the best medicine.
I genuinely enjoy life and think this world is much better than we believe.
In my family, photography started with my grandfather, continued with my father and was eventually passed down to me. Ever since I can remember I’ve had a love with cameras and capturing the beautiful world and my life as much as I could.
My passion is in birth stories, wedding films, and lifestyle sessions (film & pictures!) and I am so grateful to be able to do what I love every single day!
Aside from being the owner of Bourbon Oak Tree Photography & Films I am a writer, animal lover, and Pure Barre instructor! I love trying new things, coffee dates at any time throughout the day, and meeting new people. I am passionate about everything I put my mind to and believe we should all love this amazing life with everything we have.
I call Dallas home but spend the fall months with my husband wherever he is playing football. We have been in Chicago for the past three years and love the big city feel and being Chicago Bears.
The NFL is a huge part of our life and I love sharing the journey with friends, family members and strangers- to read more about our life you can visit my lifestyle blog, Embracing Messiness!
My life changed the day I became a mother. I always heard how amazing it was but genuinely love it way more than I ever thought possible. I am so excited to take my new love of being a mother and see how it influences and changes my work for the better. We chose to have a birth photographer for our babe's birth and it was by far the most amazing decision we've ever made. The pictures from our special day are ones I will forever hold close to my heart and cherish the images more than most. Having my own birth captured really did show me how many memories and things I had missed or forgotten from the crazy day- I cannot imagine not having these to hold onto close and remind me of everything we went through to bring our little girl into this world.
